red agentes de paz*

In Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, social inequality is extreme. "La Red de Agentes de Paz", consisted about a community social intervention of action research applied to a group of young people of the "Las Palmas" School (peripheral neighborhood with high levels of youth violence). I was in charge of the coordination and application of two specific workshops: 1. Theater workshop for the oppressed and 2. Workshop on cartography and body mapping (methodology that helps people to express stories of violence and turn them into an artistic collage to have different perspectives from the situation). I Also, designed a t-shirt for the kids and make a workshop for artistic intervention. 

 

At the end of the project, we collectively created the network of peace agents and their first small art festival, and also, we made a research diagnosis for the school in terms of peace building.
